Q: How would you like us to respond if a patient asks clinical questions?
A: They should make an appointment to see me discuss. If there is no appointment time available I am ALWAYS happy to see people before or after the clinic time or on a different day. You just need to ask me before you book them so I can give some times and dates.
Q: After a new patient appointment, would you like us to automatically offer a review appointment to your patient for the specified timeframe (eg. 3 months)?
A: No, I prefer to organise this myself. Sometimes I want to see them in 1 or 2 months ie if they are distressed.
Q: What issues or queries do you consider to be needing a short appointment?
A: "Rpt script on behalf of another doctor is about all I think.
I do not like short appointments for my usual patients because we only see the women twice per year and there is a lot to cover ie screening requirements/questions. 40 minutes of consultation time in one year to remind them of the pros and cons of MHT (which does have some risks) is not actually much time at all."
Q: Are you happy for us to convert one of your available New Patient appointments to a Review appointment if need be?
A: Yes
Q: If you are on leave would it be okay to offer your patients a review appointment with another doctor if needed?
A: Yes. In general, I do like to review my own patients but do whatever is best for the patient.
